Hey there, fellow retro warrior! I’m David, a 42-year-old gamer, and I’ve been mashing buttons since joysticks had one button and TVs had dials. My journey started in the early ‘80s when my dad brought home an Atari 800 and a magazine full of game code. Yep, we had to type the game in ourselves—talk about dedication!

Since then, I’ve owned and played on just about every major gaming platform—Commodore 64, Amstrad 464, Amiga, PC 286, NES, all the PlayStations, GameCube… you name it, I’ve probably rage-quit on it at some point. I even worked with big names in the gaming industry (but if I told you, I’d have to unplug your console).

These days, I’m on a new quest—one that’s even more rewarding. As a dad, I’ve realized that retro gaming isn’t just about nostalgia—it’s about passing the torch. The classics are fun, colorful, and way less complicated than explaining microtransactions to a 10-year-old. So now, I’m on a mission to help fellow gamers relive the glory days and introduce the next generation to real gaming.
